2007年回中国前,我采访了六位来自菲律宾,印度的护士和几位国际护士培训专家。后来因为忙于工作,便把此采访录忘记了。今天整理资料,才想到应该把他们拿出来跟大家见面。希望对那些想去美国工作或移民的护士,有所帮助。

3. How long did it take you to prepare and pass your CGFNS test?

5. How long did it take you to process your Visa Screen?
3 nurses answered 6 months, 1 nurse answered 1 year, one nurse answered 3 years, one said her agency did, she does not know.
6. How long did it take you to prepare and pass TOEFL/TSE or IELTS?
4 nurses answered 3 months, one answered 3 weeks, one answered 1 year
7. How long did it take you to process your green card? (From the date you submitted the application)
from 3 weeks to 1 and half years
8. Which agency helped you to come to the US?
9. Who paid for your CGFNS certificate?
Two nurses were paid by themselves, three nurses were paid by the agency, one did not apply for CGFNS certificate.
10. Who paid for your Visa Screen?
5 nurses were all paid by the agencies, one paid by her self.
11. Who paid for your green card application?
All paid by their agencies
12. Who paid for your English tests? (TOEFL/TSE or IELTS)
Four of them were paid by agencies, two of them paid by themselves.
13. Who paid for your airline tickets when you came to America?
They were all paid by their agencies.
14. Did you pay any other fees for processing immigration?
One said Visa for family. They others answered no.
15. How did your agency assist you after you arrived in US? (Circle that all apply)

All of them answered “housing”.
4 out of 6 answered “social security number”, and “credit card and banking
One nurse got help with license transfer from her agency.

2 nurses answered yes to option “G”.
